Presenter Melissa Brown with the EEOC will share updates on the EEOC's current enforcement priorities, recent legal developments, and emerging workplace issues affecting employers and employees.  Participants will gain insight into trends in EEOC charges, recent guidance, and practical considerations for employers.

About our presenter:

Melissa Brown began her career with the Commission as a Bi-lingual Investigator.  Five years later, she was promoted to the State and Local Government Coordinator for the district at the Nashville Area Office.  In December 2022, Melissa was promoted to the Outreach and Education Coordinator for the Memphis District, and she currently covers Arkansas, Tennessee and Northern Mississippi areas.

Prior to her employment with the EEOC, Melissa served with the U.S. Army.  After completing her military service, she held assignments with the Department of Defense in Family Readiness and Drug and Alcohol Prevention & Treatment Programs.  Melissa holds a B.S. in Management and a M.A. in Education from Austin Peay State University.  She also holds an MBA in Strategic Leadership and Project Management from Amberton University.
